On April 15, 2021 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö.
The President of Ukraine informed his colleague about the aggravation of the security situation in the east of the country and the concentration of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine. The leaders exchanged views on further measures to deter Russian aggression.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Finland for the firm support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Cooperation in the field of countering hybrid threats as one of the key elements of ensuring the national security of Ukraine and Finland was discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the topical issues of Ukraine's interaction with the European Union.
