On March 1, 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine Olga Dibrova presented Letters of Credentials to the President of Iceland Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson during a solemn ceremony held at the Official Residence of the President Bessastaðir. 

During a conversation with the President of Iceland, the Ambassador of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Iceland and personally President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson for Iceland’s long-standing and firm support of Ukraine in countering the Russian aggressor, promoting the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine and consistent support of the sanctions policy against Russia.
