On February 28, 2022, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Finland and Iceland Olga Dibrova met with the Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir in Reykjavik.
The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed deep gratitude to Iceland for Ukraine's strong political support in countering the Russian aggressor at the national and international levels, the Icelandic government's provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the amount of 1 million euros and the introduction of a broad package of sanctions against Russia.
During the meeting, possible additional parameters of urgent practical assistance to Ukraine from Iceland in the humanitarian and security dimensions, including within NATO, were discussed.
