On March 1, 2022, the Ambassador of Ukraine Olga Dibrova met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir. 

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Ukraine informed the Foreign Minister of Iceland on the development of the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine, shelling of civilian infrastructure and killing of civilians, including children. 

The Ambassador of Ukraine also expressed deep gratitude to Iceland for its strong support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in its fight against Russian armed aggression, the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and support of sanctions against Russia.
