On October 4, 2023, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland Olga Dibrova met with the Minister of Defense of Finland Antti Häkkänen.

The Ambassador congratulated the Minister on Finland's accession to #NATO and emphasized Finland's important role in supporting broad international unity regarding long-term assistance to Ukraine.

Olga Dibrova thanked the Government of Finland for its firm and principled position in providing long-term defense and material assistance to Ukraine, stressing the critical importance of developing close bilateral cooperation in the field of defense industries.

During the meeting, a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues were discussed, both during the russian federation's war against Ukraine and after Ukraine's victory.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to the content and dynamics of the supply of defense aid from Finland, Ukraine's preparation for NATO membership, as well as the participation of Finnish companies in providing urgent and long-term defense needs of Ukraine.
