The Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland, Olga Dibrova, welcomed the Finnish sister city of Kyiv together with the Minister of Local and Regional Government,
Anna-Kaisa Ikonen, the head of the Tampere City Council, the member of the Parliament of Finland,
Ilmari Nurminen, the mayor of Tampere, Kalervo Kummola, and many other residents and guests of the city.
The deepening of Ukrainian-Finnish regional cooperation has a positive effect not only on the improvement of cultural and economic relations between the countries.
Finnish municipalities have continuously supported Ukraine and especially their Ukrainian partner cities since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation.
In just the past few months, Tampere sent a water tank truck and energy equipment to Kyiv, organized a camp for Ukrainian children affected by the war, and, together with local hockey teams, gave Ukraine half of the profits from the country's most popular hockey tournament, the Tampere Cup. And now, three buses donated by this Finnish city are going to the Ukrainian capital.
Congratulations on the holiday, Tampere! We wish you development and well-being!
Thank you for solidarity with Ukraine, as well as support and assistance!
