"Ambassador of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the northern partners, NEFCO, and the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P) for their support of Ukraine, its cities, and municipalities affected by the consequences of Russia’s war. This is essential support for sustaining the daily lives of residents, internally displaced persons, and Ukraine’s green recovery. It is especially crucial now, as Ukraine makes tremendous efforts to restore its destroyed infrastructure in a decentralized manner and according to the principle of building back better and greener," - Olga Dibrova noted in her address to the event participants.Minister of Climate and the Environment, Sari Multala, who also participated in the event, emphasized the importance of such cooperation in advancing Ukraine on the environmental track of its EU accession negotiations. She highlighted that one of the key goals of these projects is to reduce the carbon footprint on the environment.

Sari Multala emphasized that supporting Ukraine is one of the priorities of Finland's presidency in the Nordic Council in 2025.
