The Advisor to the President of Ukraine - Head of the Department of International Relations of the Presidential Administration Andriy Goncharuk visited Helsinki on a working visit.
The Advisor to the President met with the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Finland on international issues Antti Vänskä. During the negotiations Andrii Goncharuk noted: “Ukraine is determined to continue the implementation of systemic reforms aimed at achieving European standards”.
During the meeting with State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland Pertti Torstila sides discussed, inter alia, further development of bilateral contacts at the highest level, and exchanged views on topical issues of international cooperation.A.Honcharuk in particular called for intensification of Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation in matters of European integration of Ukraine.
The main topic of talks the Advisor to the Ukrainian President and President of Finpro Kari Häyrinen were prospects for growth of Finnish investments in Ukraine. "Last year, Ukraine has shown strong economic growth, and we encourage Finnish businesses to further increase investment in our country", - said Andrey Goncharuk. He said that Ukrainian enterprises, particularly interested in cooperation with the Finnish partners in the field of high technology and environmental protection.
