On January 25, 2011 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Finland Mr. Andrii Deshchytsia met with the Political Director of the Foreign Ministry of Finland Mr. Teemu Tanner.

Finnish side was informed about the political situation in Ukraine and the priorities of its foreign policy in 2011.

With regard to the Finnish Presidency in the regional format of Nordic and Baltic countries (NB 8) Mr. T.Tanner assured the Ukrainian side that MFA of Finland is ready to promote the inviting representatives of Ukraine to NB 8 forums to be held in Helsinki.

It was noted the intensity of contacts between the Foreign Ministries planned for the first half of 2011.
