On January 31, 2011 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Finland Andrii Deshchytsia met with a member of The European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) Mr. Kaarlo Tuori.

The sides discussed the fulfillment of constitutional reform in Ukraine and prospects of cooperation between the Venice Commission and the Ukrainian authorities involved in implementation of changes to the legislation of Ukraine.

Discussions also cover of assessment report prepared by the members of the Venice Commission on the results of their visit to Ukraine late last year.

Ambassador A.Deshchytsia briefed K. Tuori on latest developments of the internal politics in Ukraine.

The parties agreed to maintain contacts for exchange of operative information on implementation of reforms in Ukraine.
