On February 3, 2011 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Finland A. Deshchytsia met with Director of External Relations of the Finnish Innovation Fund SITRA Mr. Teppo Turkki.

The sides exchanged views on possible involvement of Finland's experience in the field of implementation of scientific-technological and innovation projects in Ukraine.

Ukrainian side was informed on main activities of the fund, its objectives, the structural organization and financing, as well as methods of investing in innovative projects.

SITRA, as one of the players in the system of supporting and implementing innovative projects, has extensive experience on investing in research and technological development at the early stages of commercialization, when the risks of successful implementation are very high.

During the meeting some aspects of the bilateral scientific and technological cooperation were discussed, in particular, the possibility of involvement of the Fund SITRA to implementation of the bilateral intergovernmental programs in innovation and scientific technologies.
