On May 6, 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Finland Andrii Deshchytsia and representatives of the Embassy commemorated soldiers killed during the Second World War and laid flowers to the memorial of Soviet soldiers which defended port Hanko (Finland).
The event dedicated to the 66th Anniversary of Great Victory was held jointly with the Embassy of the Russian Federation, local authorities and the Finnish public.
In his speech, Ambassador of Ukraine A. Deshchytsia noted the importance of such kind events that unite people by a common desire for a peaceful future for next generations.
