Russia continues deliberate missile and drone strikes against civilian cities and critical infrastructure across Ukraine. As a result, millions of people are left without electricity, heating, and water during the harsh winter. Ukrainian cities and towns are repeatedly plunged into darkness and cold.
Families with children, elderly people, and persons with disabilities are among the most vulnerable. In many regions of Ukraine, people are forced to spend prolonged periods in unheated homes, shelters, and basements — without light, warmth, or communication with their families.
In response to this humanitarian crisis, the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, together with Finnish volunteer organizations, has joined efforts to support the civilian population of Ukraine by procuring and delivering critically important equipment to Ukraine, including large and small power generators, portable power stations, and other energy equipment necessary to ensure access to light, heat, and water.
