On February 24, Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko met with Gudlaugur Thor Thordarson, Foreign Minister of Iceland, on the margins of the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Ministers discussed ways to intensify the political dialogue, to increase the economic dimension of bilateral relations. The high level of cooperation between Ukraine and Iceland within the framework of international organizations has been acknowledged during the meeting.
Vadym Prystaiko expressed gratitude for Iceland's consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its unwavering backing of sanctions restrictions imposed on the Russian Federation in response to its armed aggression against Ukraine. It was agreed to exchange visits at the level of Foreign Ministers.
