On June 18, a charity mini-football tournament was held in Helsinki among the teams of the Ukrainian community and international friends of Ukrainians.
Teams from all over Finland competed for the cup, including Germany's FC Germania Helsinki and Finland's Inter Mamut. There are 11 teams in total.
All teams were divided into two groups. They played in a round robin, each with each other. The winners of the groups and the second-placed teams drew prizes.
As a result:
1 place - Cossacks Helsinki
2 place – Inter Mamut Helsinki
3 place – 3rd Time Turku.
The best player is Oleksandr Sobko (Cynical Bandery). The best goalkeeper is Volodymyr Shimonchuk (Cossacks).
The chairman of the Ukrainian Association in Finland Vasyl Hutsul and the first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland Olena Tsivinska took part in the ceremony of awarding the teams.
The charitable contribution from the teams for participation in the tournament was 70 euros. The Finnish Fan Federation, Suomen Maajoukkueen Kannattajat ry also contributed. During the match, a fair was held selling products with Ukrainian symbols. Proceeds will be used for humanitarian aid to our compatriots.
The tournament was organized on the initiative of the Ukrainian Association in Finland with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland.
