On 25 November 2025, an online meeting between the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Finland was held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland and participation of Ambassador Mykhailo Vydoinyk. The event continued the regular interparliamentary dialogue aimed at strengthening coordination between the two states on issues of security, support for Ukraine, and responses to the challenges caused by Russian aggression.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side informed its Finnish colleagues about another massive terrorist missile attack on Ukraine carried out by Russia during the night of 24 November. The scale of destruction of civilian infrastructure and the casualties among the civilian population were emphasised. Ukrainian parliamentarians stressed that such actions by Russia are yet another proof of Moscow’s deliberate campaign of terror aimed at destroying the civilian population in Ukraine and its unwillingness to end the war.

In addition, the members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee provided a detailed explanation of Ukraine’s position regarding the peace plan for resolving the war. They underscored that any steps must be based on the principles of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and must comply with the formula for a just and lasting peace.

In response, the Finnish side reaffirmed its steadfast support for Ukraine in its fight against the aggression waged by Russia. Representatives of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Finland strongly condemned Russia’s latest terrorist strikes against the civilian population and expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine, who suffer daily attacks from the Russian Federation.
