The forum continued a series of similar events held throughout the year with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland and "EK."
The forum was opened by the Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, Ambassador Olga Dibrova, and the head of "EK," Jyri Häkämies.
In her address, Ukrainian Ambassador Olga Dibrova expressed gratitude to the Confederation of Finnish Business for establishing, at the Embassy's request, a permanent forum on Ukraine's reconstruction. She also thanked them for their assistance in strategizing Finnish business participation in reconstruction projects with the support of the Finnish government and EU funds.
Ambassador also thanked the Confederation for its active participation in Finland's national campaign to collect energy equipment for Ukraine's needs. She highlighted the significant role of the Finnish government and businesses in implementing international sanctions against Russia and further isolating the aggressor to deprive it of resources for waging its illegal war of aggression against Ukraine.
Olga Dibrova highlighted four key tasks for Ukraine's victory:
-
Supporting
#Ukraine’s Victory Plan, including Ukraine's membership in the
#EU and
#NATO, to establish the necessary legal and security frameworks for businesses.
-
Strengthening Ukraine’s resilience, particularly through the implementation of the "Shelter Coalition" initiative. This aims to attract expertise, investments, and funds for building civil protection infrastructure in Ukraine, drawing on Finland’s experience.
