Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland Olga Dibrova and Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity of Finland
Sandra Bergqvist met with Ukrainian Paralympians who live and train in Finland after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation at the Kisakallio Sports Center.
Ambassador expressed her gratitude for the fact that Finland has been so warmly welcoming Ukrainian athletes for more than two years and giving them the opportunity to prepare for competitions. Olga Dibrova also emphasized that Ukraine highly appreciates the clear and consistent position of Finland, the Paralympic and Olympic committees of the country regarding the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes from the competition.
Ambassador spoke with the Ukrainian Paralympians and their families, in particular regarding the conditions of their accommodation and training, preparation for the Paralympics, and further plans. In addition, Olga Dibrova discussed with Sandra Bergkvist the future steps of cooperation in youth and sports issues, support for Ukraine.
