As part of the trip, the Ambassador met with good friends of Ukraine - the Mayor of Imatra Matias Hilden and the head of the municipal council Anna Helminen.

During the meeting, future steps to develop cooperation between Nizhyn and Imatra, joint projects, and further assistance to Ukraine were discussed. The twinning agreement between Nizhyn and Imatra was signed with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Finland and Iceland.

The delegation of the Imatra municipality, led by the mayor, recently returned from Nizhyn, where it was on an official visit, despite the constant threat of Russian shelling. Thank you very much for your courage, steadfast support of Ukraine and practical help!
