Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland, Olga Dibrova, gave a welcome speech at the conference "Information and the Media in the Face of War", organized by the French Institute, University of Helsinki, French Embassy in Finland, and Goethe-Institut.

The event is part of the series of activities within the project "In Times of War – European Dialogue" and is aimed at discussing the upheavals in Europe caused by Russia's unprovoked aggression against Ukraine.

The "European Dialogue" in #Finland is focused on issues related to the work of media in times of war, Russian disinformation campaigns in Europe and around the world, and the need to develop media literacy. The discussion involves prominent journalists, experts, and scholars, with the participation of the public and the diplomatic corps.

"The fight against disinformation during Russia's aggression in Ukraine is not just about controlling narratives. It's about defending truth and democratic values. The information war is a threat to global security," stated Olga Dibrova.

"We thank the organizers for hosting this truly timely discussion. Ukraine cannot win the battle against disinformation alone. It is only possible with the involvement of governments, civil society, IT professionals, and media from around the world. The best weapon against the propaganda and disinformation of the Russian aggressor is the truth."
