"Ukraine highly values the assistance of the Finnish Meteorological Institute, which provides Ukraine with advanced climate monitoring technologies, facilitates knowledge exchange, and supports the modernization of Ukraine's meteorological service," the Ambassador noted during her speech.

The Finnish Meteorological Institute is a reliable partner of Ukraine. Since 2014, the institution has been cooperating with the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, and since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this cooperation has become even closer. Finland has increased and adjusted its support to better assist Ukrainian society amid Russian aggression.

This support plays a crucial role in ensuring Ukraine's technological resilience during the war and in implementing the reforms necessary for Ukraine's integration into the European Union. The results of Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation are valuable not only on a national level but also internationally—technology for assessing environmental damage caused by the war has significantly improved.
