Counsellor of the Embassy Illya Kvas took part in the discussion “Ukraine today. Ukrainians speak” organized on April 14, 2015 in Turku by the branch of Association of Ukrainians in Finland in Turku with assistance from local politicians. Besides Embassy`s representative, the chairman of Association of Ukrainians in Finland Denys Pertsev, activist of the branch of Association of Ukrainians in Finland in Turku Yulianna Mannila, as well as famous Finnish politician Ilkka Kanerva presented their views to the audience.

The presentations stressed on the current development of Ukrainian society, settlement of situation in the east of Ukraine according to the Minsk agreements, creating necessary conditions for the activities of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. Discussion demonstrated significant interest of ordinary Finnish citizens to the development of situation in Ukraine, Finland`s readiness to provide assistance to the process of implementation of reforms.
