On the eve of the match, the Finnish Basketball Association, with the support of the city of Jyväskylä, initiated the #TheGameThatUnitesUs project for Ukrainian children and youth who are under temporary protection in Finland due to the russian war.

As part of the project, the children had the opportunity to meet and chat with the players of the national teams of both countries at fan meetings, as well as attend a match together with their Finnish friends and cheer for the athletes from the stands of one of the largest sports complexes in the city Jyväskylän kaupunki  - City of Jyväskylä.

At the invitation of the Jyväskylä mayor's office, from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Finland and Iceland, Consul Daniil Kononenko visited to the match.
