Despite the rain, today the heart of Helsinki - Senate Square - is filled with people.
On the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Finnish citizens, Ukrainians, and foreign diplomatic corps came to express their support for our country.
Thousands of candles were lit in memory of the fallen Ukrainians from Russian aggression on the steps in front of the Helsinki Cathedral.
"Dear Finnish friends, dear Ukrainians, our goal has not changed. Our goal is the complete victory of Ukraine and the entire civilized world. We will protect democracy, we will protect human values, we will protect Europe. Thank you Finland for incredible solidarity with us!" - the Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland, Olga Dibrova, addressed the audience.
"Dear Ukrainian guests, our country has its domestic problems, difficulties, and political differences. But we have full agreement and unanimity about support and assistance to Ukraine, both among the population and between parties and politicians. We have done, are doing, and will do everything, that we can so that justice wins. Glory to Ukraine!" - said the speaker of the Parliament of Finland, Jussi Halla-aho, in Ukrainian.
Thanks for your support!
