The Parliament of Finland honored Ukrainians who perished due to Russian aggression with a minute of silence.
This is how the plenary session of the
Eduskunta - Riksdagen began on February 21, attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland, Olga Dibrova.
"Throughout the entire war, Finland has been one of the largest donors of material aid to Ukraine, relative to its size. This has been possible thanks to broad consensus in the parliament and Finnish society as a whole. There are no signs of this consensus weakening. Whatever happens next, we will contribute to achieving a lasting and just peace," said Speaker Jussi Halla-aho.
As a sign of solidarity with Ukraine, two flags — the Finnish and the Ukrainian — were raised next to the Parliament building.
Thank you to the Finnish Parliament for your unwavering and unanimous support!
