The Finnish music group Pretty Marc dedicated a song in honor of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian war.

“You will be free! That is what we are singing in our song to you.

You are a brave and united country.

Strong will and commitment are needed now more than ever.

You are going to survive!”

From the authors of the ode: “Finns feel great sympathy for Ukraine who is fighting for its freedom. Ukraine is defending its territory against the same enemy who attacked Finland in 1939. Back then, Finland was a small country with massive will to stop the Soviet Union. Finland did not give up, because we wanted to save our freedom.

Now Ukraine is in the same situation. Strong will and fighting spirit are needed now more than ever. The enemy is threatening the free world, but they are losing the war because of Ukraine’s strength and trust of their values and future.”
