With the participation of Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland, Olga Dibrova, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, Chair of the Päijät-Häme Regional Council, Pekka Komu, and Regional Mayor Niina Pautola-Mol, a Memorandum of cooperation was signed between the #Zaporizhzhia region and the #PäijätHäme region of Finland.

The document aims to promote cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, trade and economy, science and technology, culture, tourism, sports, environmental protection, and the efficient use of natural resources, as well as education and youth policy.

During the visit to Finland, the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, presented the Victory Plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Finnish partners and addressed the deputies of the City Council of Lahti, the administrative center of the Päijät-Häme region and a #SisterCity of Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian and Finnish sides discussed strengthening support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor, as well as practical steps for implementing the Memorandum of cooperation.

The cooperation was initiated with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Finland and Iceland.
