On March 1, 2021 the French Institute in Finland launches a series of cultural events as part of the celebration of the Month of Francophonie in Finland.

The Embassy of Ukraine, together with other francophone and francophile Embassies in Helsinki, is a partner of the Month of Francophonie and invites everyone to:

1. Make a virtual journey to Ukraine and nine other countries, whose languages have unusual words of French origin.

Every year in the first month of spring the world celebrates La Francophonie. "Francophonie" or "International Organization of la Francophonie" (IOF) is an international organization for cooperation of Francophone countries. The main vocation of the organization is to promote the French language and the cooperation between 88 states that are members or observers of the IOF.

Since 2006, Ukraine has been an observer on the Francophonie organization.
