Annually, on January 22, Ukrainians around the world celebrate the National Unity Day. This day, in 1919, the Unification Act was proclaimed, joining the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic into a single, independent State.
On this occasion, the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, together with the Head of Ukrainian Association in Finland Ms. Tatiana Mustonen, held a solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the memorial plaque attached to the building, where the first diplomatic mission of Ukraine in Finland had worked in 1918-1921.
