Today, on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, we remember and honor the heroes who sacrificed their lives for our country.

Seven years ago, on this day, hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers were killed and thousands were wounded near Ilovaysk, breaking through the encirclement of the Russian occupation forces. These losses were the largest during the war in the Donbass.
