I briefed President Stubb about Russia’s increased terror against Ukraine, including today’s strikes, which led to civilian casualties, and the battlefield situation. I also informed about today’s successful vote on President Zelenskyy’s legislative initiatives ensuring the independence of anticorruption bodies. Ukraine’s commitment to reforms and the fight against corruption remains firm. We discussed ways to advance our defense cooperation, increase sanctions pressure on Russia, and strengthen transatlantic unity. We are grateful for President Stubb’s personal engagement and support. With allies like Finland and the friendly Finnish people we have confidence that our shared values of freedom, peace, and justice will prevail".
