Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "In Helsinki, I had a very detailed and meaningful conversation with members of the Finnish parliament representing all parties, key committees, and friendship group, as well as European Parliament members, hosted by the Chair of Grand Committee Saara-Sofia Sirén. 

I informed parliamentarians about Russia’s latest barbaric strikes on Kyiv,  overall battlefield situation, and Ukraine’s priority defense needs. 

I also briefed them on the Ukrainian parliament vote in support of President Zelenskyy’s legislative steps ensuring the independence of anticorruption bodies. 

We discussed steps to strengthen Ukraine’s defense, increase pressure on the aggressor, ensure accountability for Russian crimes, and advance a just peace. 

I am grateful to Finnish Parliament and all of its members and parties for their sincere and reliable support for Ukraine in our fight against Russian aggression.
