On 28 May 2021 Ambassador of Ukraine Olga Dibrova met with the Director General of the National Archives of Finland (
Kansallisarkisto) Dr. Jussi Nuorteva.
On the agenda were issues of further cooperation between the archival services of Ukraine and Finland after the end of pandemic. The participants discussed plans regarding the implementation of scientific events next year, including an exhibition of archival documents and a scientific conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Finland, as well as exchange of experience in the field of modern technologies.
The Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Anatolii Khromov joined the meeting in online format. He informed the participants about the priorities of the State Archival Service of Ukraine, including the intensification of international cooperation and introduction of a new communication policy of the archive, as well as the implementation by the Ukrainian side of two projects “Ukrainian Martyrology XX Century" and "Register of Unique Documents of the National Archive Fund of Ukraine". The participants expressed mutual interest in studying and exchanging copies of archival documents related to important historical facts of both countries.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Ukraine Olga Dibrova was presented with archival documents related to the historical ties between Ukraine and Finland.
