On the 17^th of January, 2013 the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY-keskus), the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce Enterprise Europe Network unit and Maroite Ltd. organized a seminar on the Ukrainian market and business opportunities in Ukraine. The event took place in the European Hall of the European Commission’s Helsinki Representation.

Sergii Vasylenko, First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine, presented a speech on the current economic situation in Ukraine and the perspectives of its development. A significant part of the speech was devoted to the Ukraine-EU relations, especially in the context of necessity to sign this year the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.

During the seminar the Embassy also distributed a number of background materials and analytical papers on different aspects of doing business in Ukraine as well as on multiple opportunities of investing into the real sector of the Ukrainian economy.
