On May 8, 2018, a flower-laying ceremony took place at the Cross of the Heroes in Hietaniemi Cemetery in Helsinki.

Ukrainian diplomats and the members of the Ukrainian community in Finland commemorated the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation to honour the feat of the Ukrainian people and pay tribute to the victims of the World War II.
