President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, in the course of which he congratulated his colleague on a convincing victory in the presidential elections in Finland.

The Head of State thanked President Niinistö for his personal efforts and support for Ukraine in the restoration of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, particularly on rolling over sanctions against Russia.

The parties coordinated positions on the enhancement of bilateral dialogue between Ukraine and Finland.

Sauli Niinistö thanked Petro Poroshenko who was the first foreign leader to congratulate him on the victory by phone.

The Head of State invited the newly elected President of Finland to make a visit to Ukraine.
