President Petro Poroshenko honored memory of the fallen Finns who fought for independence of Finland and laid wreaths to the Cross of Heroes and grave of Marshal Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim in the Hietaniemi Cemetery.

Traditionally this is where the leadership of Finland during state and military holidays and high-level foreign visitors commemorate the fallen heroes.
