The activists began to self-organize within social networks. According to various estimates from one to three thousand Ukrainians gathered on the main square of the city. Numbers of buses with representatives of the law enforcement services were also near the square.

The biggest amount of people is on Maidan Nezalezhnosti and Khreshchatyk Street, Instytutska and Mykhailivska streets are crowded.  At the same time political, cultural and religious figures are also on the stage. A group of strongly built men in construction orange helmets are standing at the entrance to the metro station "Khreshchatyk", they call themselves "self-defense units". Seven horsemen in Cossack robes with banners of Zaporizhzhya Sich have been patrolling the perimeter of the center of Kyiv.

According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, 25 people had already been killed during clashes in the center of Kyiv.

To avoid a conflict the Majlis approved a decision on the return of Mustafa Dzhemilev to Kyiv and the return of participants to Crimea. One important thing is that the Russian Federation prohibited Mustafa Dzhemilev, leader of the Crimean Tatars, to enter the territory of the peninsula.

The soldiers were trained before the departure to the ATO zone.  Relatives, friends and ordinary Kharkiv residents came to the event.  Girls gave flags of Ukraine to the soldiers. Every soldier was given a child’s picture, an icon and the first aid kit.

Donetsk oblast. Sabotage and reconnaissance groups of enemy actively operate in the "grey zone" in the Donetsk region.  The Ukrainian soldiers are monitoring intensively the territory in order not to allow the enemy to approach the position of the ATO forces.

Girls - cadets are going to release pigeons in the sky during the opening ceremony of the Memorial to the ATO Heroes at a Krasnopil'ske cemetery, Dnipropetrovsk, April 20, 2015.

Dnipropetrovsk, April 20, 2015.  At a Krasnopil'ske cemetery, in Dnipropetrovsk the Memorial of the ATO Heroes was opened. The Memorial is sponsored by Vladimir Nyzhnyk, a  businessman from Dnipropetrovsk.  He sponsored raising a monument at the grave of Serhii Nigoyan, the Hero of the "Heavenly Hundred". Remains of more than a hundred unidentified fighters of the ATO are buried at Krasnopil'ske cemetery in Dnipropetrovsk. The DNA samples were taken from each of them to enable their identification.

Dnipropetrovsk, May 14. The memorial service for commemoration of Oleh Eysmant, the fighter of a battalion of the territorial defense of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, killed in Mariupol, was held in the Taras Shevchenko Dnipropetrovsk Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater. The leadership of the State Oblast Administration, representatives of military units, cities and districts of the region, relatives and friends of the deceased participated in the commemorative ceremony.  Oleh Eysmant was buried at the Krasnopilske cemetery in Dnipropetrovsk.  The traffic on Lenina street, Karl Marx avenue and Plekhanova street was stopped due to the memorial service.

Priests held the service during the funeral ceremony of the unknown dead soldiers at the Krasnopil'ske cemetery, Dnipropetrovsk, August 20, 2015. 

Dnipropetrovsk. Another 14 unknown dead soldiers were buried at the Krasnopilske cemetery in Dnepropetrovsk. The bodies of the victims were found in Donetsk, Debaltsevo, Opytne, Schastia and other cities of the conflict zone. "Since the beginning of the year dead soldiers are found almost every week. Today we bury those who were found in March and June. As for now, 27 unknown bodies of soldiers are in morgues that were brought in July and August. If DNA samples won’t match we will bury them next week or little bit later "- said Director of interaction with law enforcement agencies of civil protection and defense of State Oblast Administration Irina Fedorchuk.
