President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.
Petro Poroshenko informed his colleague on the situation in Donbas and the progress of Ukraine in the implementation of reforms. The Head of State thanked Finland for political support, significant humanitarian aid and contribution of Finland to the OSCE SMM activity.
The President praised Finnish efforts in support of Ukraine, particularly in the context of liberation of Ukrainian citizens illegally jailed in Russia.
The Presidents noted the necessity of prolongation of sanctions against Russia until full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Petro Poroshenko invited Sauli Niinistö to visit Ukraine.
Today, the President is going to have a series of bilateral meetings, particularly with President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
