On 17 October, 2015, the literature and music event dedicated to the famous Ukrainian poet Vasyl Stus was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, the Association of Ukrainians in Finland & the Association «Mova».

Guests of the event had the possibility to become more familiar with masterpieces of Vasyl Stus: poems in Ukrainian and translated into Russian, Finnish, English, German languages, and songs.

Actors of the Amateur theater of Ukrainians of Finland presented excerpt of a documentary drama based on the memoirs of contemporaries of Vasyl Stus «On the banks of solitude».

Writer and literary critic Mr. Dmytro Stus, who is the son of the poet, attended the event. Mr.Stus presented the lecture with Finnish translation entitled «Figure of Vasyl Stus in the cultural context of modern Ukraine».

In the framework of the event, a photo-gallery «#LetMyPeopleGo» dedicated to the Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia & an exhibition of painting by young Ukrainians «Where I am Ukraine is» were presented.
