President Poroshenko suggested celebrating the Day of Defender of Ukraine, which the the country will celebrate on October 14 for the first time, under the slogan "The Power of Unbroken."

During his speech at the Nationwide Forum of ATO Participants, the Head of State noted that Ukrainian warriors demonstrated the power of unbroken defending the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine in the war against the Russian aggressor.

"This holiday is aimed to honor courage and heroism of defenders of Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity," the Head of State emphasized.

The President stressed that the Protection of Homeland has become a matter of all Ukrainians. That's why, the Day of Defender of Ukraine, which is designated holiday, should become a nationwide feast, such as Christmas, Easter or Independence Day.

The President congratulated the attendees on the holiday.
