Today we mark the 29th anniversary of the establishment and, in fact, restoration of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Finland.
On February 26, 1992, the ministers of foreign affairs of Ukraine and Finland concluded an agreement in the form of an exchange of letters on the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Since then, our countries have become true friends and good partners. Close cooperation between Ukraine and Finland at the bilateral level and in international organizations demonstrates that our partnership is based on commitment to democratic values, protection of human rights and rule-based international order, as well as ensuring sustainable development and countering climate change.
We are grateful to our Finnish friends for their strong support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, the European integration course and internal reforms in Ukraine.
